THE Democratic National Convention featured several prominent entertainers over the week, including several sets by DJ Metro.
The Chicago DJ may have gotten his big break during the DNC, but viewers were quick to share their less-than-stellar thoughts on his musical abilities.

DJ Metro had one of the toughest jobs of the night during Thursday night’s DNC – keeping the momentum going on the fourth and final day of the convention.
But viewers were quick to slam the entertainer for failing to do his job.
“This DJ Metro guy is one of the worst to ever do it,” one viewer wrote on social media.
“DJ Metro is making this a really difficult watch….” a second viewer commented, adding in several crying emojis.
“DJ Metro’s transitions are sucking,” a third viewer noted.
“Chicago has better to offer than this DJ Metro person, sorry y’all,” another viewer shared, adding several laughing emojis.
DNC highlights…
- Beyoncé and Taylor Swift fans were left devastated after the superstars failed to show up to support or endorse Kamala Harris during the final night of the DNC.
- Rumors swirled that former President George W. Bush would surprise the DNC crowd on Thursday.
- Vice President Harris’ younger sister, Maya Harris, and niece, Meena Harris, spoke at the event.
- Meena called the presidential candidate her “auntie” and an “extraordinary woman.”
- Kamala Harris, who wore a dark blue suit, accepted the Democrats’ nomination, becoming the first biracial woman to receive a presidential nomination by a major party.
- Echoing the remarks of her fellow constituents and former presidents, Harris painted Donald Trump as a “dangerous and unserious man.”
- Trump lashed out at Harris’ acceptance speech, calling the VP “all talk, no action.”
- The Republican presidential candidate fired off a series of posts on Truth Social during Harris’ speech on Thursday evening.
Not everyone was hating on the entertainer, however.
Some viewers – and listeners – reportedly enjoyed his “spinning and scratching,” including notable Harris-Walz supporter Chris Borkowski.
“Sound Up! DJ Metro is spinning and scratching, amping up the delegates and guests at the DNC Day 4,” he wrote.
“It’s a dance party on the floor in between speakers,” he added.
DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL PARTY?
The DNC featured several prominent entertainers throughout the week, including a performance by The Chicks on Thursday night.
The Chicks performed The Star-Spangled Banner to kick off the primetime portion of the program, though reactions were also mixed.
“The chicks screwed up the national anthem,” one viewer wrote.
“So the “Chicks” are the tone-deaf version of the Dixie Chicks????” another viewer questioned, referencing the group’s former name.
“Ummm…. The Chicks missing something, maybe the key? #DNCConvention2024” another viewer shared.
“So glad it wasn’t just me who heard it! We love the chicks but omg,” another viewer replied.
The Chicks, once one of the biggest names in country music, received backlash from fans after criticizing then-President George W. Bush in 2003.
Since then, the group dropped “Dixie” from their name, and have gone on to become even more involved in politics, throwing their support behind the Democratic Party.
