A FORMER Marine has been released from the hospital 11 days after he was shot at former President Trump’s Pennsylvania rally.
David Dutch was released from Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh on Wednesday evening in good condition.

Dutch was struck twice by gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks during the attempted assassination of Trump at his Butler, Pennsylvania rally on July 13.
He was shot once in the chest and once in the liver, and rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Once at the hospital, he was placed in a medically induced coma and underwent several surgeries, according to the Marine Corps League’s Department of Pennsylvania.
The U.S. Sun reached out to the MCL Department of Pennsylvania for updates regarding Dutch’s release, and to learn more about his road to recovery.
Dutch’s condition improved significantly later in the week, with reports stating he was in “serious but stable condition” on July 17, as reported by PRNewswire.
His family also released a statement following the attack, thanking “first responders and medical professionals who saved his life, including the Life Flight and trauma surgical teams at AGH,” as reported by the Allegheny Health Network.
They also offered their “deepest condolences and prayers for the other victims of this tragic event and their families.”
Rick Keibler, Dutch’s co-worker, set up a GoFundMe to support the vet and his family as he recovers from his traumatic injuries.
As of July 24, the fundraiser amassed just over $13,000 of its $100,000 goal.
“We work together and knowing what short-term disability pays, he and his family could really use some help,” Keibler wrote.
“Knowing Dave well, I know he would have taken this bullet for Trump. He’s that kind of guy. Please help out if you can.”
The U.S. Sun reached out to Keibler for the latest updates on Dutch’s condition, and when his wife, Sheree, can expect to receive the funds.
Another GoFundMe, reportedly authorized by Donald Trump, has raised over $6.5 million for victims of the campaign rally shooting.
The other rally shooting victims include James Copenhaver, who is still undergoing treatment at Allegheny.

The 74-year-old retiree and grandfather was also shot by Crooks at the rally, suffering “life-altering” injuries according to his family.
Corey Comperatore, a 50-year-old father of two and decorated fireman was shot and killed at the rally.
He heroically dove in front of his wife and children as gunfire erupted.
Meanwhile, Trump was also briefly hospitalized for minor injuries after he sustained a graze wound to his ear.
He left the hospital after a few hours and appeared at the Republican National Convention just days later with a bandage over his right ear.
Trump continued to wear the bandage throughout the days-long convention.
But during a July 24 rally in North Carolina – his first since the shooting – Trump wasn’t sporting a bandage.
Donald Trump's Full Statement Post-Rally Shooting
Former president Donald Trump provided an update on Truth Social after the shooting that took place at his Pennsylvania rally on July 13.
“I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania.
“Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured.
“It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country. Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead.
“I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin.
“Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”
