A SHOPPER has saved a pretty penny after discovering a delicious dupe for a viral snack.
The internet is in a frenzy over the peanut butter alternative pistachio butter – and Walmart has a version that’s $25 less than Amazon.

BETTER BUTTER
Finding great deals on everyday essentials is becoming harder and harder.
Despite inflation cooling off, grocery store prices have skyrocketed in recent years, and don’t show any signs of slowing down.
TikTok user Norma, known as @xonormiess on the platform, recently shared her tips for snagging a popular item at a fraction of the cost.
The six-second video shows her finding a small jar of Bettergoods Pistachio Nut Butter at a local Walmart, tucked away on the highest shelf.
The product appears to be located in the same aisle as peanut, almond, and other nut butters, along with jams, jellies, and other spreads.
The Bettergoods brand, which launched at Walmart stores nationwide earlier this year, is Walmart’s largest private brand food launch in 20 years.
The brand aims to directly provide affordable, quality products to consumers, at a lesser cost when compared to similar name-brand items.
The launch also coincides with a rising trend among cash-strapped customers: dupes.
Many consumers are turning to dupes, or “duplicates” of high-end products, including food and beverage items, to spend less money while still partaking in the latest trends.
From headbands to space tape, and makeup products to candleholders, dupes exist for just about anything, including popular snacks and spreads.
The Bettergoods Pistachio Nut Butter is “Made in Italy” and “Crafted Artisanally,” like many of its competitors.
Even more shocking than the Pistachio Nut Butter’s in-store hiding spot is its price, with each 6.7-ounce jar retailing for around $5.47.
Meanwhile, similar products, including smaller sizes of the Pistachio Nut Butter, are selling for upwards of $30 on Amazon, which is typically known for its low prices.
Even free shipping for Prime members can’t make up for the almost-$25 price difference, as Walmart shoppers can essentially purchase six jars in-store for the price of one online.
Dollar Tree dupes

Savvy shoppers have scoured Dollar Tree to find dupes of their favorite products
Shoppers found a perfect replica of a $150 set of Pottery Barn plates and bowls. Plus, Dollar Tree has matching mugs.
Dollar Tree also had dupes for the viral Starbucks tumblers.
Customers found dupes for Home Depot’s $39 outdoor solar lights.
Dollar Tree has a dupe for The Pink Stuff cleaning paste, too.
DUBAI DESSERT DUPE
“Found this at Walmart,” Norma captioned the post, alongside an OK hand emoji and the hashtags #pistachio, #dubaichocolate, and #pistachiochocolate.
Norma is referencing the trendy Dubai Fix Chocolate Bar from The Fix Dessert Chocolatier.
The chocolate bar is crafted with toasted kataifi, or shredded phyllo dough, and pistachio cream to create a delicious filling.
Videos showcasing the viral sensation, like from users @sarasaadia and @hibaxkh, have amassed millions of views and hundreds of thousands of likes and comments.
While it may not be as popular as peanut butter or almond butter, pistachio nut butter has started flying off shelves as customers fall more in love with the spread.
Fans of the nut butter love its ability to be paired with other snacks, eaten alone, or used to make a delectable dessert, among other uses.
Norma’s followers and fellow TikTok users flocked to her comments to share their thoughts on her “dupe” for the Pistachio Nut Butter.
“Definitely going to Walmart,” one user wrote.
“I bought three,” another user commented.
“I’ll have to keep an eye out! Ty for this tip,” another user wrote.

PISTACHI-OH NO
Some pistachio nut butter enthusiasts were visibly distressed that they spent nearly six times the amount of money on a similar jar online.
“Omg I spent $30 on Amazon,” one user commented.
“That cost $30?” one user questioned.
“No they had other brands on amazon that charged $30 but this one I spent $6,” Normal replied.
Still, not all users were convinced to buy the dupe, with some even claiming they’ll make the butter from scratch, a nod to fellow TikTok influencer Nara Smith.
“I spent 3 hours shelling, blanching, and blending pistachios. worth it,” one user wrote.
“It’s not the same :(,” another user commented.
“I spent $12 and supported my local Italian mom and pop store to keep them in business,” one user wrote.
“You also want the pistachio cream not butter if making the the chocolate bars,” they added.
“I used it and it tastes fine w the chocolate bars,” another user replied.
Some users also questioned what else the product could be used with.
“How to use this? Interesting in trying it,” one user asked.
“You can eat it on toast but I’m using it for the Dubai chocolate bar,” Norma replied.
“I’ve also seen someone say it’s good with iced coffee,” she added.
No matter how you choose to use the viral Pistachio Nut Butter, purchasing the pantry staple from Walmart’s Bettergoods brand appears to be the move.
It will also save customers around $25 compared to similar items found at competing online and brick-and-mortar retailers.
